have grown and developed from the family run decorating and repair business started in 1962,
and have retained the personal service and attention to detail that has always been at the core of our business.

Based in the market town of Great Dunmow in northwest Essex
we have close links with local suppliers whom we use wherever possible.

Similarly our workforce reflects Byford's approach of ensuring a solid foundation for the business,
with a mix of experienced labourers, skilled craftsmen and young apprentices undergoing on site and college training,
the majority of whom are drawn from the local community.
We undertake projects throughout Essex and Hertfordshire.

Byford and Company can also undertake work to listed buildings and all other types of buildings 
ranging from timber framed to brick clad and traditional Essex rendered houses.

We also provide a comprehensive small building repair service - from a broken gutter bracket to repairing a drain.
Plumbing and Electrical services are also available.
